Dermatologists Katie P. Rodan, M.D. and Kathy A. Fields, M.D., both dealt with acne in their teens and twenties. They were particularly moved by the many adult women who visited their dermatology practice suffering from acne, but were willing to live with it. At the time, the dermatological community was focused on more serious skin conditions, and no one was really looking at acne and its devastating effects. So, they set out determined to find a solution for their patients – a new way to keep acne-prone skin looking and feeling clear.
